Rockchip (32-bit) offers overclocks for the RK3288 via the "turbo-mode" device tree mark on the opps above Rockchip recommended.
At present we are overclocking both RK3328 and RK3399 without any such switch to shut it off, it's default "on"
RK3328 CPUMAX is 1.3 GHz per Liang Chen <email@example.com>, we run up to 1.5
RK3399 CPUMAX is 1.8 GHz, we run up to 2.0
If we tag the opps with "turbo-mode", they can be enabled as shown in the Miqi DL page:
echo 1 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpufreq/boost # enable turbo
nano /etc/default/cpufrequtils # adjust new limit
/etc/init.d/cpufrequtils restart # restart cpufrequtils
Alternatively we could mark them disabled and enable them via overlay.
Change of direction, I decided to go with overlays. I have a working overlay for RK3399 I will put in a PR for probably tomorrow.
So base out of box will be 1.8 GHz/1.4 GHz, “rk3399-2ghz-opp” overlay will set it to 2GHz/1.5GHz
I’ll work out 2 for the RK3328 since it has 2 OC opps: 1.4 and 1.5 GHz
