Pros:
developers are already on GitHub
people behave more professional
hopefully attracting more right people
easy linking, markdown (easier), GitHub is more adopted to developers reality
Cons:
further fragmentation if not well communicated
Idea is to start first with moving board bring up forums. We need to invest some to make a FAQ about:
clearly defining expectations
rules (link to general code of conduct)
describe families, what is vendor kernel, where is end user support, where to report issues
prepare a short how to add a new board
Goal(s):
open a discussion before opening a PR
generating opportunity to get support for PR
make a better link between code and discussion
