Discuss how to deal with snap in Ubuntu

Description

As discussed here https://armbian.atlassian.net/projects/AR/issues/AR-278?filter=allopenissues

In short: Pro: Snap is default in Ubuntu and Ubuntu will ship more apps through snap. Also makes installation of Chromium without hacks possible.
Cons: Could run into issues while implementing in QEMU and so on.

Bottomline:

apt-install snapd

is all that it takes to make this fully functional. Also keeping snap out could be an argument for lightweight OS

Snaps are ubuntu’s way forward. It doesn’t make sense to have our own spin of ubuntu that doesn’t support them. Snap store seems to have good support for arm. so that’s not a concern

If we’re not interested in supporting snaps with ubuntu, we may want to consider withdrawing Armbian support for ubuntu altogether and focus on doing this the Debian way.
